CONTEXT
The Tracking Mechanism for the Implementation of Recommendations of the Universal Periodical Review mechanism (UPR) and the Concluding Observations of the Committee of the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) is an initiative undertaken by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEFA) and supported by UN Women and UNFPA Albania. The Tracking Mechanism is based on a Human Rights Action Plan that contains the current progress as well as further measures needed for the implementation of international human rights obligations. This tool allows Albanian institutions to measure progress and fulfil duly and effectively their reporting obligations to the human rights mechanisms.
